Lalita (Anousha) Purbhoo Junggee is an entrepreneur from Mauritius who is specialized in printing, marketing, and journalism. After working as a newspaper reporter for six years, Anousha founded a printing and advertising company in 2011. The business has since significantly expanded and she is, today, listed among the 100 most influential women of Mauritius and Regional winner of the 2018 Pan African Award for the Most Influential Women in Business and Government in the SME Sector.
She is the first African woman to be appointed as Envoy on Youth to Africa by the International Youth Committee and will be in office for the next three years (Sep 2019 – Sep 2022). She is also a One Young World and Madela Washington Fellowship alumni, and studied Business & Entrepreneurship at the University of Notre (Mendoza Business School) under the prestigious scholarship of the former President Obama. She aspires to joining national politics and look forward to foster an open-minded society, with respect for others, tolerance of differences, civility and comity, where dialogue and deliberativeness are valued.
